Data is Plural
This “weekly newsletter of useful/curious datasets” has grown significantly over the last decade.
First published in 2015, its archive, available in spreadsheet format, has become a go-to tool when searching for datasets. Developed by Jeremy Singer-Vine, a data editor and reporter, he describes each dataset succinctly (fewer than 100 words) and relationally, with links to access these open datasets. It includes credits pointing readers to whoever suggested or discovered the datasets. Data is Plural is free, but recently launched a membership program (DIP+) in February 2024. Paid members have access to bonus materials including datasets that didn’t make the cut for the general DIP newsletter, as well as a Discord-hosted members-only community.
