Poetry Sites on the Web

Academy of American Poets: bio's, poems, links to articles. Search by Poet (name first last) or Poem. This non-profit organization began in 1934 and continues to support American Poets.

Try The Victorian Web for that Victorian Poet. Search the Poet's name to find bio's, poems, related works, influences, themes and more. This is a site rich with background information of the times and people.  It is the WWW translation of Brown University's Context 61, which served as a resource for courses in Victorian literature

The Poetry Foundation has a bit of everything including bio's, bibliographies, poems, other works by the Poet, articles and references! Established in 2003, the Poetry Foundation publishes the journal Poetry.

The Internet Poetry Archive covers a limited number of poets offering bio's, bibliographies, some with audio clips. A joint effort of University of North Carolina Press and the UNC Office of Information Technology. (Poets included: Seamus Heaney, Yusef Komunyakaa, Philip Levine, Czeslaw Milosz, Robert Pinsky, Margaret Walker, and Richard Wilbur)
