Every LibGuide should have a friendly URL AND each page on the LibGuide should have a friendly URL. You will use the page friendly URL whenever you link to a LibGuide page. Pages cannot be assigned friendly URLs without the LibGuide having one first.
The first step when you create your LibGuide should be to makethe assigned LibGuide URL a friendly one that reflects the name of the guide. This allows anyone receiving the URL to know what it points to. Look at the "friendly and unfriendly" example below. The URL circled in blue is the LibGuide URL. I have already changed it to be friendly by using the pencil icon to the right of the URL.
However, the first page of my guide, circled in red, in the same example below, does not have a friendly URL. It is a mishmash of gobblygook and needs to be made friendly.
Use the pencil icon to the right of the URL to edit the page URL. As the page I'm working on is called "HOME", I will edit the URL to say this.
Now you can see that this page has a new friendly page URL. You will need to do this for each of the pages you add to your guide.
