There will be a lot of work involved before we can migrate and the more we take care of prior to our migration date, the easier the migration will be. We've talked to many area universities and they all stress how important a thorough clean-up of v.1 guides is to the success of the migration.

If you need assistance cleaning up your guides, let Liz, Debbie, or Susan know and we will assist you.

If you no longer wish to maintain one of your guides, please let Liz, Debbie, or Susan know and it will be reassigned.

• Clean up all guides and their pages if you are the owner.
• IMPORTANT - Make sure your v.1 guides and their pages each have a friendly URL. Here is an excellent resource on how to make sure each v.1 LibGuide page has a friendly URL...scroll down to "Guide Page Friendly URLs."
• Check all links to make sure they are still working properly.
• Remove any outdated or unnecessary content or pages.
• Remove any guides that are no longer necessary or useful. If you think they may prove useful in the future, leave them but clean them up.
• Your profile information and image will not be migrated from v.1 to V.2. You will need to be recreate it on your V.2 LibGuide so you have plenty of time to take a new selfie. However, as we are not going live until March 31, 2017, you may want to change the library name in your v.1 profile to Cowan-Blakley Memorial Library if you have not done so already.
• Check spelling, grammar, etc.
