If faculty would like to trial a database for future purchase, please contact Acquisitions with the vendor and title information. Faculty may also request a database be included in our collection. However, as a database is a significant ongoing investment, a purchase request must go through the department chair/bibliographer for approval, and the database price must fit inside the guidelines for the library's current and future fiscal year budgets.

The University of Dallas is a TexShare participant. TexShare is a consortium of Texas libraries joining to share print and electronic materials, purchase online resources, and leverage local support for the benefit of all Texans. UD participates in the TexShare Card Program, TExpress courier service for ILL, and has access to TexShare databases.

Access to TexShare Databases is vital to helping control our e-resource costs. Did you know that for the fiscal year 2017, 68 e-resources were available for participating libraries that if purchased separately would have cost $233,858.09? Read the report below for further information on how the University of Dallas participates in TexShare.
